‎Deputy Governor links Ododo’s agenda to youth empowerment, welcomes JOAWORLD Media partnership

‎The Deputy Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency Elder Joel Salifu Oyibo, has called on young people across the state to be innovative, hardworking, and committed to shaping their own future by seizing the opportunities provided by the government.

‎He made the call on Thursday, September 11, while receiving the JOAWORLD Media team from Abuja in his office in Lokoja during their homecoming visit. The deputy governor emphasized that under the leadership of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, youth empowerment and innovation remain at the center of the administration’s agenda, with deliberate programmes designed to equip young people with skills, resources, and opportunities to thrive.

‎According to him, “Government has provided the tools, the platforms, and the opportunities, but the responsibility lies with our youths to take advantage of them. If you are hardworking and innovative, there is no limit to what you can achieve. Governor Ododo is committed to ensuring that our young people are trained, empowered, and given the chance to contribute meaningfully to the growth of our state.”

‎Oyibo commended various empowerment initiatives such as the Ododo Youth Empowerment and Skills Acquisition Programme (OYESA), and recalled the recent unveiling of the Kogi Youth Digital Database Platform, which captures the skills, talents, and aspirations of young people across the 21 local government areas of the state.
