The atmosphere at the Glory Dome in Abuja was charged with intensity and expectation on Sunday, January 11, 2026, as Dunamis International Gospel Centre convened its Anointing Service with a resounding prophetic focus on dominion. The service, attended by thousands of worshippers, centered on a powerful message titled “Keys to Reigning as Kings,” setting the spiritual tone for the year and positioning believers for what was repeatedly declared as a royal mandate.
Ministering at the service, the Senior Pastor of Dunamis International Gospel Centre, Dr. Paul Enenche, proclaimed 2026 as a “royal year” for the Church, a season in which believers are expected to take their rightful place in authority, not merely as followers of events but as governors who decree from heaven and see outcomes manifested on earth. He emphasized that Christianity was never designed for endurance alone, but for command, rule, and dominion through Christ.
At the heart of the message was the assertion that believers are divinely authorized to exercise dominion over life’s circumstances. Drawing from scriptural principles, Pastor Enenche charged the congregation to reject a lifestyle of struggle and limitation, noting that survival mentality contradicts the redemptive identity of God’s people. According to him, the Church is called to reign, not to react, and to influence systems rather than be subdued by them.
The sermon further highlighted the call to supernatural living, describing it as a defining mark of authentic Christian experience. Pastor Enenche warned against what he termed the “tragedy of normalcy” among God’s children, stressing that there should be a visible distinction, a divine aura, around the life of every believer. This distinction, he said, is not rooted in human effort but in a conscious alignment with God’s power and presence.
A major emphasis of the Anointing Service was the release of grace for kingdom influence. The anointing, according to the message, empowers believers to impact multitudes, take territories, and command resources with ease for the advancement of God’s purposes. January’s prophetic focus for the church was unveiled as “Prayer and Fasting Empowers for Dominion,” anchored on Isaiah 58:6–14. Pastor Enenche described prayer and fasting as instruments of spiritual aggression, enabling believers to break resistance, possess their inheritance, and enforce the will of God on earth. He underscored the need for tenacity and spiritual intensity, noting that dominion is sustained by deliberate engagement with God.
Equally emphasized was the necessity of divine direction. The message stressed that hearing God’s voice is critical for preservation, peace, and accuracy in decision-making, particularly in a time marked by global uncertainty. According to the him, divine guidance is not optional for those called to reign, as it safeguards destiny and averts avoidable disasters.
The service featured vibrant song ministrations by the Dunamis choir, creating a worship-filled atmosphere that prepared hearts for prayer and impartation.
