Arsenal Land £68m Star Signing as Eberechi Eze Takes Iconic No. 10 Shirt

Eberechi Eze is officially an Arsenal Player

‎The England international joins Arteta’s side to add flair, dynamism, and creativity, becoming Arsenal’s marquee summer signing ahead of their Premier League campaign.

‎Arsenal have completed the high-profile signing of Eberechi Eze from Crystal Palace in a deal worth around £68 million, activating his now-expired release clause, according to The Athletic. The 27-year-old England international will wear the prestigious No. 10 shirt at the Emirates, instantly becoming one of the Gunners’ headline additions of the summer.

‎Manager Mikel Arteta expressed his delight at the capture, hailing Eze as “a powerful and exciting player who will give us a new dimension in our attacking game.” He praised the midfielder’s mentality and rise through the ranks, adding: “His journey, ambition, and hunger are exactly what we want in our team. We can’t wait to start working with him.”

‎Arsenal’s sporting director Andrea Berta echoed that sentiment, describing Eze as “a creative and explosive talent” whose international pedigree with England highlights his character and quality.

‎Eze’s arrival comes at a crucial time for the North London club, with Kai Havertz sidelined by a knee injury. The former Crystal Palace star is expected to inject flair, ball-carrying ability, and a threat from set-pieces into an Arsenal side that often struggled to unlock deep-lying defences last season.

‎Though versatile enough to feature on the left wing, Eze thrives as a central creator. His signing is seen as a statement of intent as Arsenal aim to push for silverware, having narrowly missed out on the Premier League title last season.

‎The midfielder was instrumental in Palace’s historic FA Cup triumph over Manchester City last year, also helping them defeat Liverpool in the Community Shield. His reputation as a big-game performer only adds to the excitement surrounding his move.

‎Eze is the latest in a flurry of summer incomings at the Emirates, joining Viktor Gyökeres, Martín Zubimendi, Christian Nørgaard, Kepa Arrizabalaga, Noni Madueke, and Cristhian Mosquera.
‎The Gunners could hand Eze his debut on Sunday, August 31, in a blockbuster clash at Anfield against Liverpool.
